Change the source. Keep the history.

Public robot datasets in a simulated transport workflow. Replay time is relative, not a shared real world timeline.

Replay details

Workflow WF-TRANSPORT-001, simulated. A and B use relative replay windows that start at 0 s. Simulated source C begins after B's final event.

Export your history. Query it outside Base1.

Includes original files, provenance and the same query.

Technical detail

The export is a ZIP with the original files, the sources, raw_files, events and assignments tables as Parquet, the exact SQL, the replay configuration, provenance, attribution, a README and a SHA-256 manifest.

The independent reader uses only the Python standard library and DuckDB. It checks the manifest, runs the same SQL on the export, compares the result with the API and compares the retained history with records saved before the swap.

About this demo

Base1 is independent data infrastructure for robotics. It keeps the operational history an application uses when the data sources behind it change, and lets that history leave Base1 in an open format.

What this demo shows

  • Two public robot datasets, A and B, feed one workflow history.
  • Source B is retired and a different source, C, is connected. B's events stay in the history, unchanged.
  • The same application and the same query keep working and now show C.
  • An export runs the same query outside Base1 and checks B's history against records saved before the swap.

What is real and what is simulated

  • A and B are REAL public datasets from two different labs. They are not one fleet and not customer data.
  • The workflow WF-TRANSPORT-001, the link between the sources and source C are SIMULATED.
  • Replay time is relative. A and B use replay windows that start at 0 s. Simulated source C begins after B's final event. Replay time does not align real events in time.
  • B's timestamps have no documented timezone and are shown as written. Duration units are not documented and are not assumed.
  • The demo does not show access to closed vendor systems, commercial integrations or production performance. Third party applications could read this history, but none is part of this demo.

Transformations

  • Original files are kept unchanged, with SHA-256 checksums.
  • A: dispatch events from 2026_07_27_morning_dispatch_events.parquet between 08:29:12.590 and 08:32:12.590 UTC. Fields kept as in the source.
  • B: rows with a completed service name. rosping_service is a technical service, other services are robot actions. Names, durations and timestamps kept as written.
  • The JSON shown for an event is a representation of the original row. The original is the file and row shown next to it.
